Three senior executives of the McDan Group have reportedly been arrested by National Security operatives following the demolition of a warehouse under construction along Spintex Road in Accra.

According to a report by Accra-based Citi News, the arrests occurred at the site, which has now been designated a “National Security Zone.”

The warehouse—believed to be owned by prominent businessman and McDan Group Executive Chairman, Daniel McKorley—was allegedly demolished by National Security personnel on Monday evening.

Eyewitnesses say the building, located adjacent to Action Chapel, was brought down around 7:00 p.m. using multiple excavators.

The motive behind the demolition remains unclear.

Tensions intensified on Wednesday when armed soldiers allegedly assaulted a bystander who was being interviewed by JoyNews journalist Carlos Calony. Mr. Calony was on the scene reporting on the ongoing standoff between civilians and uniformed personnel believed to be members of the military.

As of now, the McDan Group has not released an official statement regarding the incident.
