Ghanaian musician Fameye has expressed his disappointment over an incident that overshadowed his recent performance in the United Kingdom, criticizing what he called “unprofessional treatment” by the event’s DJ.
The singer, known for his soulful music and energetic live shows, had promised his UK fans an unforgettable experience. However, according to a statement from his management, Fameye Worldwide Enterprise, the performance was marred by a series of technical and communication issues with the event organizers and their DJ.
The controversy reportedly began when organizers refused to allow Fameye to use his official DJ, who is based in either Ghana or Belgium. Despite attempts to resolve the issue, the event team insisted on using their pre-booked DJ. Prioritizing his fans over logistical preferences, Fameye’s team agreed to the arrangement.
Unfortunately, the decision led to disruptions during Fameye’s set, which caused frustration for both the artist and his audience. His management described the DJ’s behavior as “disrespectful,” underscoring how the miscommunication negatively affected the artist’s performance and overall show quality.
