The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has issued a public warning regarding an increase in fraudulent recruitment scams targeting individuals.

The scams, according to the FDA, typically involve fake messages or emails from unknown individuals that request personal information or payments in exchange for non-existent job opportunities at the Authority.

The notice, signed by the Chief Executive Officer of the FDA, urges the public to exercise caution when receiving such messages. It advises individuals not to share personal details or make payments in response to these suspicious communications.

The FDA has urged the public to report any dubious messages to its Head Office or to any of its regional offices across the country.

In the statement, the FDA reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding public safety and wellbeing. The Authority also encouraged individuals seeking further clarification or information to contact the FDA directly through its official communication channels.
