Ghana Police Service Welcomes 430 New Officers

On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, the Ghana Police Service welcomed 430 new officers into its Senior Officer Corps during a vibrant ceremony held at the Police Training School in Tesano, Accra. The event was presided over by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

In addition to the Vice President, the ceremony saw attendance from a delegation of various security agencies, the Interior Minister, Henry Quartey, and Greater Accra Regional Minister, Daniel Titus Glover.

The latest intake, known as Police Academy Cadet Course 53, includes 305 male officers and 125 female officers. This group marks a significant milestone for the Ghana Police Academy, as it represents the highest number of cadet officers ever commissioned, surpassing the previous record of 344 set by Cadet Course 52.

At the event, Achiburi Issah was honored as the Overall Best Cadet Officer, recognizing his outstanding performance during the training.
