The Bibiani Municipal Education Office in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai District of the Western North Region has been severely affected by a sudden heavy downpour that led to significant flooding on its premises. The deluge has resulted in the destruction of essential educational materials and equipment vital for the office’s operations.
Donald Acquah, the Human Resource Officer at the Bibiani Municipal Education Office, provided details about the extent of the damage. He reported that the floodwaters wreaked havoc on valuable educational assets, including laptops, printers, and crucial documents belonging to teachers.
In addition to the destruction of physical items, important administrative records and files were also compromised, leading to considerable setbacks for the office’s functions.
In light of this situation, Mr. Acquah made an urgent appeal for assistance. He called on authorities and philanthropists to help relocate the education office to a safer and more suitable facility. He also stressed the pressing need for improved infrastructure to prevent future flooding and safeguard educational resources in the Bibiani area.
