Controversial gospel artist Broda Sammy has unveiled a campaign song in support of New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Having hinted at the release in recent weeks, the musician praised the Ghanaian Vice President for his accomplishments since taking office. In the lyrics of the song, Broda Sammy claimed that the “wheel of Ghana” has already been entrusted to Dr. Bawumia as he prepares to lead the nation.
Following the song’s online debut, Broda Sammy addressed potential criticism regarding his decision to create a political campaign song. He emphasized that his collaboration with Dr. Bawumia is purely professional in nature.
In anticipation of backlash, the gospel artist urged the public to avoid negative comments about his foray into political songwriting. “Please don’t insult me o because it is money and it is my work,” he stated in the caption of his social media post.
