The upcoming live performance of The Chunkz and Filly Show podcast has been cancelled following serious allegations against YouTuber Yung Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos. The British rapper and online personality was arrested in Brisbane on Tuesday and extradited to Perth the following day for a court hearing.

Barrientos, 29, was charged on Thursday and has since had his bail application approved. His representatives have been approached for comment regarding the situation.

Originally scheduled for October 18 in east London, the first live performance of the podcast, co-hosted by internet personality Chunkz, has been officially cancelled. The show, which premiered last year, features the duo interviewing various rappers and influencers.

The venue, Troxy, confirmed the cancellation, stating, “The event was removed from our website yesterday and all ticket holders have been informed—their tickets will be refunded automatically.”

Promoters Dice have also been contacted by the BBC for further comment.

In a statement regarding the situation, Upload Productions, which produces The Chunkz and Filly Show, remarked, “We are aware of the serious allegations that have been made against Yung Filly and the legal proceedings that are now underway in Western Australia. In the commercial areas of business where we have responsibility, we have paused working with our client.”

Additionally, the Football Association (FA) has cancelled an online cookery series featuring Barrientos. This series, which was supposed to star him alongside England footballers such as Bukayo Saka and Ezri Konsa, was announced on Wednesday. The series was in collaboration with M&S Food, which the BBC understands does not have a direct relationship with Yung Filly, and he only participated in one piece of filming as one of the FA’s partners.

The FA has been approached for comment regarding this decision.

FootAsylum has also cut ties with Barrientos, who frequently appeared in their YouTube series Does the Shoe Fit? A spokesperson stated, “In light of these extremely serious charges, we are suspending our contract with Yung Filly with immediate effect. We are unable to comment further until the legal process has been concluded.”

Barrientos faces a range of serious charges, including four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count of impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to their neck. It is alleged that he brought a woman in her 20s back to his hotel room after performing at Bar1 nightclub in Perth, with the attack purportedly occurring on September 28.

The influencer, who boasts over three million followers on Instagram and nearly two million subscribers on YouTube, was in Australia for a music tour. Barrientos has also presented shows on BBC Three and participated in popular UK programs such as Soccer Aid on ITV and The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer on Channel 4. In 2021, he was awarded a MOBO Award for Best Media Personality.
