Tragic Head-On Collision on Kumasi-Accra Highway Claims Seven Lives

A horrific accident on the Kumasi-Accra highway near Juaso on Friday, October 11th, resulted in seven fatalities and numerous injuries.

A head-on collision occurred between a VIP bus traveling southbound from the north of Ghana (registration number AC 1550-17) and a Sprinter bus (registration number AS 6413-16) heading northbound from Accra.

The incident reportedly claimed the lives of all five passengers on the Sprinter bus, which was transporting tomatoes.

Sadly, one passenger on the VIP bus also succumbed to their injuries while receiving treatment at Juaso Government Hospital.

Several other VIP bus passengers sustained various injuries and were rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

Firefighters worked tirelessly to extract victims trapped in the wreckage.

The bodies of the deceased have been transported to the Steward Mortuary in Yawkwei.

This tragedy serves as a stark reminder of the importance of safe driving practices on Ghana’s highways.
