Taylor Swift Now World’s Richest Female Musician with $1.6 Billion Net Worth

Story Highlights
  • Taylor Swift now world's richest female musician ($1.6B)
  • Surpasses Rihanna ($1.4B), trails Jay-Z ($2.5B)
  • Net worth grows $1.2B since 2020, driven by tours and recordings

Taylor Swift has officially overtaken Rihanna to become the world’s richest female musician, with her net worth now estimated at an impressive $1.6 billion. This milestone was confirmed on Saturday, October 5, when Forbes updated its valuation to reflect Swift’s increasing fortune, bolstered by the success of her historic “Eras Tour” and the enduring popularity of her music catalog.

In addition to leading the list of richest female musicians surpassing Rihanna’s $1.4 billion net worth Swift is now ranked No. 2 among all musicians, trailing only Jay-Z, who boasts a net worth of $2.5 billion.

Remarkably, when Swift first achieved billionaire status in October 2023, she became the only musician in history to reach a ten-digit net worth primarily through her recordings and live performances, rather than through other business ventures. A year later, Forbes estimates that her assets include $600 million from royalties and touring, another $600 million attributed to the value of her music catalog, and $125 million from real estate holdings.

Swift has long been a mainstay on lists of the wealthiest musicians, but her financial growth in recent years has been particularly noteworthy. In 2020, her net worth was valued at $365 million, indicating she has amassed over $1.2 billion in just four years.

While Swift now holds the title of the richest female musician, Rihanna retains the distinction of being the “Richest Female Musician of All Time,” with a peak net worth of $1.77 billion. However, Swift may soon claim that title as well, especially as she concludes her “Eras Tour” later this year with final performances in the US and Canada.

In addition to her financial achievements, Swift has also made headlines for her political endorsements, recently backing Kamala Harris for president. This move has drawn criticism from former President Donald Trump, who suggested that Swift would “pay a price” for her political stance.
