“Shatta Wale and I Are for Life” – Pope Skinny Buries the Hatchet

Ghanaian rapper Pope Skinny has addressed his current relationship with dancehall sensation Shatta Wale, emphasizing that, despite past misunderstandings, they are now on amicable terms.

In a recent interview on Adom FM’s Ofie Kwanso show, hosted by Jerry Justice, Pope Skinny reflected on their previous disagreements, acknowledging that while they had their conflicts, their friendship remains intact. “We had a misunderstanding and couldn’t solve it indoors, so we brought it out to the public. But now, we are no more like that. I am too mature to have issues with Shatta Wale. He is my guy, my friend, and I do not have any problem with him,” he stated.

The rapper explained that their disagreements, while sometimes public, are not unusual in their relationship. “We have fought many times, and this is the only one that came out… He said something that pained me, but I had to let the people know it wasn’t true. But for life, I and Wale, we are for life,” he added.

Pope Skinny also shared that he recently reached out to Shatta Wale upon his return to the country, expressing a desire to reconnect. “I sent him a message that he should come and pick me at the airport, but he didn’t come. I even told some of his people. It would have been beautiful for him to do that, but he knows where I am, so I believe he will surprise me with a visit.”
