The family of Ghanaian music producer Unda Beatz has disclosed poignant information about his last days, shedding light on the serious health issues he faced before his untimely passing.
Unda Beatz, born Eric Nkrumah, was reportedly suffering from a painful boil in his throat that hindered his ability to eat and drink. Despite having celebrated his birthday just days prior, family members shared that he was unwell even on that special occasion.
“He hadn’t been well for some time, even on his birthday, he wasn’t himself. He had a boil in his throat and couldn’t eat or drink water. He went to the pharmacy to get some drugs,” a family member told Gossips 24 TV.
In a tragic turn of events, the family revealed that Unda Beatz went to sleep the night before his death and never woke up.
“He spent part of the night in his mother’s room before returning to his own. The next morning, when we checked on him, we found him unresponsive,” the family member added.
Unda Beatz passed away on September 26, 2024, just four days after celebrating his birthday on September 22. His sudden death has left fans and industry colleagues in disbelief, with close friends, including Yaa Pono, taking to social media to express their sorrow.
