A police officer was tragically killed in the line of duty after armed robbers ambushed his patrol team in the Central Regional town.
The incident occurred on September 28, 2024, between 12am and 1am. Officer Evans, attached to the Dunkwa Divisional Police Headquarters Armory, lost his life in the attack.
According to Adom News, two additional officers were critically injured during the ambush and are currently receiving urgent medical care at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
The Ghana Police Service has yet to release an official statement on the incident.
An investigation is underway to apprehend the perpetrators responsible for the tragic loss of life.
