Kylian Mbappe extended his impressive start to life at Real Madrid by scoring in his fifth consecutive match as the La Liga champions narrowly defeated Deportivo Alaves.
The French forward found the net in the second half after being set up by Jude Bellingham, adding to Lucas Vazquez’s early opener and Rodrygo’s goal after the break.
Despite a late comeback from Alaves, Real Madrid held on for a 3-2 victory.
Mbappe, who joined Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer, has now scored seven goals in nine appearances for the club.
His partnership with Bellingham has been particularly fruitful, as the two combined on several occasions during the match.
The victory keeps Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga table, and Mbappe’s continued goal-scoring form bodes well for the rest of the season.
