The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has announced the successful disbursement of a total of GH¢450.07 million to 251,576 pensioners for the month of September 2024.
The payment, which was made on September 19, covered pension benefits under both PNDC Law 247 and Act 766.
SSNIT revealed that the highest monthly pension under PNDC Law 247 reached GH¢186,777.58, while under Act 766, the highest was GH¢26,509.66.
For existing pensioners, the lowest monthly pension was GH¢409.10, while new pensioners received a minimum of GH¢300.00.
Compared to August, the number of SSNIT pensioners benefiting from the monthly disbursement increased by 996.
Pensioners can access their benefits through their respective banks.
The next pension payment is scheduled for October 17, 2024. SSNIT reiterated its commitment to providing financial security to retirees across Ghana and encouraged workers to plan for their retirement to ensure they receive full benefits.
