Complete Your Passport Application by October 18 or Risk Cancellation – Ministry

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has issued an urgent call to passport applicants who made payments before April 1, 2024, but haven’t completed their biometric capture. These applicants must visit their selected Passport Application Centres (PACs) and finalize the process by October 18, 2024.

This deadline is crucial, as passport applications submitted under the previous fees of GHC100 and GHC150 will become invalid after October 18. The fee revision, in line with the Fees and Charges (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations, 2023 (L.I 2481), took effect on April 1, 2024.

Under the new fee structure, a 32-page passport costs GHC500, while a 48-page passport costs GHC644. Expedited services now come at a cost of GHC800. To avoid application invalidation, applicants are advised to act swiftly.

The Ministry’s announcement serves as a reminder to applicants who have yet to complete their biometric data. It’s essential to prioritize this task to ensure the application remains valid.

Applicants with pending biometric capture must visit their selected PACs by October 18, 2024. Failure to complete the biometric capture by the deadline will result in application invalidation.
