Paris Saint-Germain has issued a strong statement condemning the racist abuse suffered by defender Nuno Mendes following their 3-1 victory over Brest in Ligue 1.
The 22-year-old Portuguese international shared the racist comments he received on his Instagram story after the match.
PSG responded swiftly, stating that they “don’t tolerate racism, antisemitism or any other form of discrimination.”
The club expressed their full support for Mendes and announced that they are working with authorities to hold those responsible accountable.
PSG emphasized their commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful environment, both on and off the pitch.
Despite the setback of conceding an early penalty, PSG managed to secure a 3-1 win, thanks to goals from Ousmane Dembele and Fabian Ruiz.
The victory maintained their perfect start to the Ligue 1 season.
