Suspected Threatener of Public Officials Nabbed

The Ghana Police Service has successfully apprehended Ibrahim Mohammed, a man who recently made chilling threats against several government officials.

Mohammed was declared a wanted person after a video surfaced online where he vowed to harm high-ranking officials, including the Inspector-General of Police and the Interior Minister.

The suspect was taken into custody on September 11, 2024, following a two-day manhunt launched by the police. He is currently facing legal proceedings.

Mohammed, who used the alias “Commander Kanawu Revolution Leader,” accused the officials of manipulating the police recruitment process.

His threats sparked widespread outrage and prompted the police to offer a significant reward for his capture.

The Ghana Police Service has today, 11th September, 2024 arrested suspect Ibrahim Mohammed for threatening to shoot and harm some public officials.

The suspect, was declared wanted on 9th September, 2024 after the video in which he was seen issuing the threats went viral.

He is currently in Police custody and will be taken through the due process of the law.
