Prophet Nicholas Osei, also known as Prophet Kumchacha and founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, has issued a dramatic pronouncement cursing government officials and traditional leaders involved in illegal mining, or galamsey, in Ghana.
In a fervent declaration, Prophet Kumchacha called for divine retribution against any government Ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs), or chiefs who are implicated in the illicit practice. The controversial preacher voiced his frustration over the ongoing environmental damage caused by galamsey and criticized the government’s lack of action on the issue.
He attributed the persistence of the galamsey crisis to the greed of influential individuals who he believes are at the core of the problem. Prophet Kumchacha highlighted the severe pollution of water bodies, specifically River Pra, and the destruction of forest reserves in the Sehwi region.
