Mahama made these comments while speaking to residents of the Bono region as part of his campaign tour.
He urged his opponents to refrain from making promises they cannot fulfill, as this only serves to further erode trust in the democratic system.
Mahama emphasized that the NDC will prioritize truth and transparency in its campaign and administration, with a focus on realistic promises and open communication with the people.
He assured the people that his administration will work hard to address their concerns and be truthful in all interactions.
Mahama also highlighted the pressing issue of rising unemployment in the country, citing the recent unrest in Kenya as an example of what can happen if action is not taken.
He emphasized the need for urgent attention to be given to the high number of unemployed graduates in Ghana, warning that if left unchecked, it could lead to similar unrest.
The former President reiterated his commitment to tackling the challenges facing the country, including unemployment, with honesty and transparency.
By doing so, Mahama hopes to restore trust in the democratic system and ensure a brighter future for all Ghanaians.
