The National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) has issued a two-week ultimatum to the Ministry of Education.
The union is demanding swift action to address challenges faced by professional teachers in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector.
NAGRAT’s concerns include the lack of consultation with teacher representatives during the development of the scheme of service for TVET teachers.
Another issue is the migration of teachers from the Ghana Education Service to TVET without their consent.
NAGRAT President Angel Carbonu revealed that the union has met with the Ministry to discuss these issues.
During the meeting, the authorities acknowledged the anomalies and agreed to put measures in place to address them.
