The Office of the President has categorically denied any involvement in the ongoing land dispute with Ghana International School (GIS).
Recent allegations suggested that the Head of the VVIP Unit was linked to attempts to encroach on GIS’s property, but the President’s Office has refuted these claims.
In a statement released on September 5, 2024, the Office emphasized that it has no interest in the contested land in Cantonments and has not instructed any officials to engage with or disrupt the land issues.
“The Office of the President has NO involvement with the land in question,” the statement affirmed.
Additionally, it was noted that no orders had been issued to any personnel regarding the property. The Office has formally requested the Inspector General of Police to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the matter.
The statement concluded by urging the public to ignore false claims linking the Presidency to the land dispute.
