Wanderlust Ghana Embarks on Epic 30,000km Road Trip

Wanderlust Ghana, renowned for their historic road trip from Accra to London, is set to embark on an even more ambitious adventure. The travel group, which previously made headlines with their 16-day journey across two continents and twelve countries, is now planning a monumental 30,000-kilometre expedition.

The new journey will take the team from Accra to Paris, continue on to Dubai, and finally conclude in Cape Town. The departure date for this grand adventure remains confidential due to security concerns, but it is slated to begin within the month.

In an exclusive interview with Adomonline’s Dennis Kofi Adu, a prominent member of the Wanderlust Ghana team shared details about the upcoming trip. Unlike their previous expedition, which included eleven men and one woman, this journey will involve only six members and three vehicles.

The Wanderlust Ghana club, described as a private entity consisting of close-knit friends who support each other financially, will not be opening this trip to the public. However, the key member hinted at the possibility of organizing a public road trip in Ghana or within the sub-region in the future.

The upcoming journey presents several challenges, particularly the high costs associated with tolls on international highways, logistics, accommodation, and food. “It’s expensive, not cheap,” the key member admitted, noting the significant expenses, especially in countries like Italy where tolls are required for highway use.

For those interested in tracking their progress, Wanderlust Ghana will offer live updates through a Pebble link, allowing followers to witness the adventure in real time. The Ghana Tourism Authority is also supporting the trip, with promotional materials featuring visitghana.com tags.
