Ghanaian actress Selly Galley-Fiawoo recently celebrated the christening of her twin babies, born in August 2023, marking a significant milestone in her and her husband Praye Tietia’s journey to parenthood.
During the christening event, Selly Galley-Fiawoo shared a poignant account of the challenges and emotional struggles she and her husband endured before welcoming their twins. She expressed profound gratitude to God and reflected on their enduring love and the trials they overcame to build their family.
In a heartfelt video posted by Zionfelixdotcom on Instagram, Selly recounted her love story with Praye Tietia, noting how their marriage and the subsequent nine-year wait to conceive shaped their journey. Despite facing ridicule and hurtful comments on social media, Selly praised the strength and bond that sustained them through their hardships.
“Last year, I cried a lot, but it is all to the glory of God. About sixteen years ago, this man came into my life and changed it completely. I am incredibly blessed to have him. We are deeply in love and fortunate to have something so special,” she said.
Selly also revealed a painful chapter in their story, sharing that she had previously become pregnant but tragically lost the baby. “I did get pregnant along the way, but God said it wasn’t the right time. We cried, but God assured us there was something greater ahead. Now, we are celebrating double blessings, twins, a boy and a girl,” she added.
Selly Galley-Fiawoo and Praye Tietia, who married in September 2015, had faced criticism and mockery for not having children during their marriage. The arrival of their twins has now brought a joyous change to their story.
The christening ceremony was a joyous affair, attended by several notable personalities, including Nana Ama McBrown, Fella Makafui, Stacy Amoateng, and Gifty Osei, who gathered to celebrate the couple’s new blessings and their journey to this special moment.
