Ghanaian gospel musician Broda Sammy and actor Dr Likee have disclosed that they are biological brothers. Despite their prominence in Ghana’s entertainment scene, the two share the same father but have different mothers. The revelation came during an interview with Broda Sammy on Okay 101.7 FM, hosted by Abeiku Santana.
“We are from one father but different mothers. I took my mother’s face, and he took our father’s face,” Broda Sammy explained.
Dr Likee, also known as Ras Nene, had previously hinted at having a sibling in the entertainment industry during an interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso. He confirmed that his brother is indeed gospel musician Broda Sammy.
“I had a young sister before an even younger brother. At the time, my father’s son was Brother Sammy,” Ras Nene stated. He further clarified, “Brother Sammy is my half-brother from my father’s side.”
For the first time, Ras Nene, born Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi, shared insights into his family background and upbringing in Tafo Zongo, a town in Kumasi. He acknowledged that he had kept his family background private until now.
“I’ve kept it a secret. This is the first time I’m unveiling it to the public,” he said.
