In a horrific early-morning assault, suspected Boko Haram militants attacked Faudiya School, a prominent Shia-affiliated institution in Geidam Local Government Area, Yobe State.
The assailants struck around 3:44 a.m., dragging students from their beds and shooting them dead, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
The attack on Faudiya School, connected with the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), unfolded in the dead of night, exploiting the students’ vulnerability as they slept.
Eyewitnesses reported that the terrorists, under the cover of darkness, forced the students outside before opening fire.
This brutal act of terrorism has left the local community devastated, with three students confirmed dead and another injured during the escape attempt.
Yobe State Police have confirmed the attack but have yet to provide further details.
