Ghana-based Liberian artist JZyNo has publicly apologized to Ghanaian dancer Dancegod Lloyd following a misunderstanding related to the video shoot for the song “Butta My Bread.”

In an interview with Roselyn Felli on Joy Prime’s “Changes,” JZyNo detailed the events leading to the fallout. The artist explained that after Dancegod Lloyd participated in a challenge for the song “Butta My Bread,” JZyNo wanted him to appear in the music video. However, the plans did not go as intended.

JZyNo revealed that Dancegod was unable to attend the video shoot because he was on tour in Spain. “The issue started when we did the ‘Butta My Bread’ song. We were to do the music video in Nigeria. Clarence Peters sent us the date for the shoot. So I told Dancegod about it. We were all in numbers; my manager, Dancegod at East Legon. He said he was going to Spain, he was going on tour,” JZyNo recounted.

The artist further explained that he offered to cover Dancegod’s flight from Spain to Nigeria to ensure his participation in the video. Despite this, Dancegod declined the offer. “Then I said if I don’t put my brother in the video I wouldn’t feel alright and secondly people may feel different tomorrow. So bro, I know how much I have in my account. I want to buy you a ticket from Spain to Nigeria in and out. Let’s just shoot the video, just for you to be in the video. Dancegod said ‘no, I am going on tour,’ I don’t know when I will be back,” JZyNo said.

Unable to proceed with Dancegod, JZyNo hired two Nigerian dancers, Chris and Purpose Baby, to fill the role. However, their involvement also faced issues as their costumes were not ready in time. “The day of the video shoot, they couldn’t get involved with the video because of the costume and where they wanted to place them. They let me down,” he noted.

JZyNo then made arrangements with the Nigerian dancers to work on a future project. He reached out to Dancegod later to explain the situation, hoping to maintain a positive relationship despite the complications.

The tension between JZyNo and Dancegod Lloyd became apparent when they recently met at Original TV and Dancegod refused to shake hands, which concerned JZyNo.

During the “Changes” interview, JZyNo offered a public apology to Dancegod Lloyd. “In the public, I am saying this. However way I’ve hurt you, I’m sorry. No excuses, I’m sorry. Wherever you are, forgive me. I’m going to call you from here. I need to link up, meet you. Let’s go to the chop bar. Love, my brother,” JZyNo expressed.

JZyNo is recognized for his popular tracks such as “Onana,” “Rula,” “Don’t Kill My Vibe,” “Butta My Bread,” and his latest release, “Mood,” featuring Khaid.
