GHC16.47m Ultra-Modern Audit Office Inaugurated in Volta Region

The Volta region has taken a significant step towards strengthening public sector accountability and transparency with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art Audit Office Complex.

The facility, located in Ho, was built at a cost of 16.47 million Ghana cedis and is part of a broader initiative to enhance Ghana’s audit system.

The new complex will replace the previous office, which was housed in the Regional Health Directorate building, and is expected to ensure a more comprehensive and effective audit process.

The project is one of 18 regional and district offices being constructed across the country, funded by a 13 million euro loan from German financial cooperation.

The initiative reflects the shared commitment of the Government of Ghana and its partners to good governance and effective public administration.

Auditor-General Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu highlighted the critical role of the new regional and district offices in the Audit Service’s mission.
