LilWin Compensates Family of Deceased 3-Year-Old with GH₵95,000 and brand new car

Amid ongoing court proceedings, actor Kwadwo Nkansah, known as LilWin, has reportedly taken significant steps to compensate the family of three-year-old Nana Yaw Ampomah, who tragically died in an accident involving his vehicle.

LilWin has been actively cooperating with the legal process at the Asokore Mampong District Court. According to a close family source, he has already begun to fulfill his promises to the bereaved family. Notably, LilWin has replaced the Hyundai Santa Fe owned by Nana Yaw’s father, which was destroyed in the accident, with a brand new vehicle.

In addition to the vehicle replacement, LilWin has provided the family with GH₵50,000 and an additional GH₵45,000 to cover funeral and hospital expenses. Given that Nana Yaw was the third-born after a set of twins, LilWin has also pledged to extend support to the surviving twins as part of his compensation efforts.

Following the court session on July 27, 2024, LilWin’s lawyer, Nana Bonsu Kyeretwie, indicated that they were awaiting guidance from the Attorney General’s Office on the case. The trial, initially scheduled for August 26, was adjourned due to the absence of both the judge and the deceased’s family, though LilWin was present. The case has now been rescheduled to September.

Background

LilWin was apprehended by the Manhyia Divisional Police Command in Kumasi following a car accident on June 3 that resulted in the death of three-year-old Nana Yaw. He was subsequently granted bail in the amount of GH¢50,000 with two sureties.
