Bawumia Not Fit to Lead – Mahama

John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has responded to his main contender, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Mahama’s comments came during a community engagement in the Greater Accra region, part of his campaign tour.

He criticized Bawumia’s recent media engagement, calling it a “failed attempt” to divert attention from the NDC’s manifesto launch. Mahama accused Bawumia of being dishonest during his media encounter.

The NDC flagbearer emphasized the importance of experience in leadership, citing the need for a “licensed driver” to take over the country. He stated that Ghana’s youth do not have the luxury of time for “trial and error” leadership.

Mahama highlighted the risks of inexperienced leadership, warning that it could lead to further problems for the country. He positioned himself as the experienced candidate, having previously served as President.

Mahama’s comments were seen as a direct jab at Bawumia, who had pointed out that he had never been President before. The exchange highlights the intensifying rivalry between the two candidates ahead of the elections.
