Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has strongly rejected the idea that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are identical.
Speaking at the NDC’s manifesto launch on Saturday, August 24, 2024, Ablakwa emphasized the NDC’s commitment to fighting corruption, distinguishing it from the ruling party.
Ablakwa dismissed claims that both parties are the same, stating that the NDC is different from the NPP.
He highlighted the contrast between the two parties, citing the National Cathedral project as an example of the NPP’s deceit.
Ablakwa criticized the government for deceiving Ghanaians, demolishing important buildings, and misusing funds for the National Cathedral project.
The MP praised former President Mahama’s leadership, saying he never deceived Ghanaians or misused funds.
Ablakwa listed several important buildings demolished for the National Cathedral project, including the Judicial training institute and Judges’ bungalows.
He emphasized the difference between the two parties, saying one leader builds while the other demolishes.
Ablakwa reiterated that the NDC is committed to fighting corruption and building the nation.
He concluded by reiterating that the NPP and NDC are not the same, and the NDC will continue to distinguish itself through its actions.
