Ghana Needs Progress, Not Reversal- Bawumia to Mahama

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has responded to John Dramani Mahama’s call for a “reset” of Ghana.

Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), made the call during the party’s Manifesto launch, stating that Ghana is “bleeding” and its “soul is crying for change.”

However, Bawumia disagrees, saying that Ghana needs an upgrade, not a reset. During a media engagement on Sunday, August 25, Bawumia outlined his vision for Ghana’s future.

He emphasized that he represents the future and has outlined 14 key commitments to the Ghanaian people.

These commitments include sustaining and expanding Ghana’s rebounding economy and creating new jobs.

Bawumia also plans to implement wide-ranging tax reforms and build Ghana into a world-class digital economy.

Additionally, he aims to reduce the cost of living, expand public infrastructure, and provide better healthcare for all.

Bawumia’s commitments also include implementing Affirmative Action for girls and women, providing good governance, and caring for the elderly.

He concluded by emphasizing his commitment to expanding educational opportunities for all and protecting Ghana’s borders while keeping the neighborhood safe.
