Stonebwoy Responds to Claims of Falsified GIMPA Certificate

Ghanaian dancehall and afrobeats sensation Stonebwoy has vehemently denied allegations suggesting that his recently acquired GIMPA certificate was gifted to him rather than earned. The claims, made by an individual purporting to be a classmate, alleged that Stonebwoy rarely attended classes.

In response, Stonebwoy dismissed the claims as a “false narrative” and urged Ghanaians to ignore them. He emphasized that GIMPA is a reputable institution where students, regardless of their status, must work hard to earn their degrees.

“GIMPA isn’t a school that individuals or popular people will easily be accorded marks for attendance’ sake,” Stonebwoy stated. “I earned my Second Class Upper degree through blood, sweat, and tears.”

In an interview on GTV, Stonebwoy expressed frustration with the rumors, attributing them to a “poverty-stricken mentality” and a “failure mentality.” He defended his academic efforts, noting that he attended evening classes due to his schedule, which may have contributed to the misconceptions.

“I couldn’t have done the morning, so I was in evening school, that’s why I love GIMPA for how you can get it done,” Stonebwoy said. “The institution has measures like cameras in exam halls to ensure integrity.”

Stonebwoy denounced those spreading the rumors, calling them out for attempting to tarnish his achievement. He concluded by expressing satisfaction with earning his degree and urged others to focus on inspiring and educating rather than spreading baseless accusations.
