Renowned entertainment industry figure, Dave Bishop, was conferred with the title of Nana Ekow Amu I (1st), Development Chief of Nyanfeku Ekroful in the Central Region of Ghana on December 30, 2023. This honour comes as he continues to make significant contributions to the country through various initiatives.

As the director and president of (link unavailable), Bishop has been instrumental in promoting travel and tourism between the U.S. and Africa. He announced two upcoming events: “Mother’s Day in the Motherland” and “Motown in the Motherland,” aimed at celebrating mothers and fostering cultural exchange between Detroit’s Motown community and Ghana.

Bishop also revealed plans to launch a full-service concierge office at Kotoka International Airport to facilitate a smooth experience for visitors. Additionally, he is spearheading community development projects, including a ten-bedroom maternity ward, boreholes for clean water, an eight-bedroom teachers’ quarters, and playgrounds for children.

Furthermore, Bishop is launching “Good Deed Day” in Accra this September to encourage acts of kindness and support underserved communities. He is also advocating for prison reforms, focusing on rehabilitation programs to reduce recidivism.

In September 2024, Bishop will be granted Ghanaian citizenship, solidifying his role as a bridge between the U.S. and Ghana. Through his leadership and philanthropy, he continues to make a profound impact on the lives of countless individuals in Ghana and beyond.
