Award-winning artist Bisa Kdei has voiced his dissatisfaction with the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) following a disappointing royalty payment.
In a recent interview with Kumasi-based Angel FM, Bisa Kdei recounted his frustration after being notified of available royalties from his hit songs “Brother Brother” and “Mansa.” Expecting a substantial sum due to the global success of these tracks, he was dismayed to learn that he had earned only GH¢500.
“I received a call saying I had some royalties to collect after the success of ‘Brother Brother’ and ‘Mansa.’ I was thrilled but was disheartened when I found out it was just GH¢500,” Bisa Kdei said. “I told the official not to call me again with such a meager amount.”
