NPP’s Upcoming Manifesto is ‘Full of Lies’, Says Mahama

John Dramani Mahama, the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has launched a scathing attack on the New Patriotic Party (NPP), accusing them of peddling falsehoods. Mahama claims that the NPP is set to launch a “manifesto of lies” on Sunday, August 18, making promises they have no intention of keeping.

He referenced the NPP’s past promises, such as “one child, one egg, one child one chocolate,” which he says were all lies. Mahama emphasized the need for an experienced leader who has handled the country before, rather than trying someone new.

He warned Ghanaians not to fall for the “try me” mantra of his opponent, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, but instead to vote for a proven track record. Mahama asked Ghanaians to reject any attempts by the NPP to induce them with money to vote for them, and to remember the suffering they have endured over the past eight years.

He urged voters to consider the eight years of hunger, poverty, and suffering under the current government when casting their ballots. Mahama emphasized that the youth of the country do not have time to “try” anyone again, but need an experienced hand to turn the country around.

He positioned himself as the experienced leader who can bring expertise and a proven track record to the presidency. Mahama made these comments during a community engagement in Juapong, Volta Region, on Tuesday, August 13, as he continues his campaign for the presidency.
