Musician-turned-politician Kwame A Plus has disclosed that he sleeps with his hand on a gun due to fears of being murdered without the chance to defend himself. A Plus, who is running as an independent candidate for the Gomoa Central parliamentary seat in the December 7 elections, shared his intense concerns during an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM.
A Plus recounted witnessing the aftermath of the death of his friend and Kwaw Kese’s manager, Fennec Okyere, which profoundly impacted him. He vowed never to face a similar fate.
“I gave some people who threatened me my house address. I don’t sleep with my phone in my hands. I sleep with my hand on my gun. Sometimes I sit on TV with a gun in my pants. I can be telling a different story…” A Plus revealed.
He further explained his actions, describing how he witnessed the scene of Fennec Okyere’s death. “Fennec was in his room, sleeping, and waiting for someone to break in, cut his fence, and enter to murder him. I couldn’t give the pictures out; I was one of the first people to be there. I still have it on my phone… when I look at it, I tell myself I am not going down like that. Even if I am laid in state, you will see me smiling because I shot someone before dying,” A Plus said.
