Pastor and Five Others Jailed for Torturing Accused Witch

Six individuals, including a pastor, have been arrested and detained for allegedly torturing a 61-year-old woman accused of witchcraft in the Bongo District of Ghana.

The incident occurred on August 1st when the suspects allegedly stormed the woman’s home, dragged her out, and paraded her through the community.

They subsequently took her to a soothsayer, where she was coerced into confessing to being a witch. The woman’s son reported the crime to the police, leading to the arrest of the six suspects.
