Kokofu Slams Mahama’s Promises as Deceptive and Unfulfilled

Henry Kwabena Kokofu, former Chief Executive Officer of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has criticized ex-President John Dramani Mahama for what he describes as misleading promises to Ghanaians.

Mahama, who is seeking to return to power under the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is competing against New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

In his bid to win the December 7 elections, Mahama has proposed several development projects, including a 24-hour economy policy which he claims will significantly improve Ghanaians’ lives.

However, Kokofu has urged voters to be skeptical of Mahama’s assurances.

He pointed out that Mahama had previously promised to build a National Theatre in Kumasi, Ashanti Region back in 2013—a promise that remains unfulfilled.

Kokofu argued that Mahama’s track record of broken promises should lead voters to question his credibility.

“We know you very well. This is the same old Mahama… There is no way his deceptions and unfulfilled promises can make Ghanaians vote for him again,” Kokofu said in a recent interview.
