- Saboteurs lost court case, ordered to pay Gh¢15,000 damages.
- False claims of high court injunction spread by saboteurs.
- Delegates warn saboteurs to stop or face consequences.
A group of delegates within the Bosome Freho Constituency of the Ashanti Region’s New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed outrage over alleged sabotage attempts against their recently elected Parliamentary Candidate, Nana Kwame Asafo Adjei Ayerh. The delegates have threatened to take action against individuals they claim are spreading false information and creating confusion within the party.
According to the aggrieved delegates, a group led by Yaw Amoah Gyami, along with some faceless persons, is behind the sabotage attempts. Their goal, the delegates claim, is to negatively impact the party’s fortunes by tarnishing the reputation of the newly elected Parliamentary Candidate.
The delegates revealed that Yaw Amoah Gyami had previously taken the candidate to court, challenging his eligibility as the Parliamentary Candidate. However, the court ruled in favor of the candidate, ordering Yaw Amoah to pay Gh¢15,000 in damages for his baseless claims.
Despite the court’s ruling, the delegates claim that Yaw Amoah is now spreading false information that the Parliamentary Candidate has been injuncted by a high court. The delegates have denied this claim, stating that it is a blatant lie and a desperate attempt to discredit their candidate.
They have warned Yaw Amoah and his associates to cease their sabotage attempts or face the consequences. The delegates have expressed their confidence in their candidate, stating that any attempts to tarnish his reputation will not succeed.
