Ghanaian musician-turned-evangelist Lord Kenya has announced the death of his father, Nana Akpor Kainya, who passed away at the age of 78.
The burial service is scheduled for Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. at Lord Kenya’s residence in Apemso, located near the Apemso Pentecost Church. The interment will take place on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Sanzule, Nzema, and will be a private ceremony.
The final funeral rites will be observed on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Hero’s Park, Kumasi Sports Stadium, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Following this, a thanksgiving mass will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2024, at Face of Grace Covenant Temple, situated near Ahodwo Melcom in Kumasi.
A family gathering is also planned for Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Lord Kenya’s residence in Apemso.
