Manchester United defender Leny Yoro was spotted wearing a protective boot and using crutches at the club’s UCLA training facility.

The 18-year-old, who recently completed a £52 million transfer from Lille on July 18, was injured during the first half of Saturday’s pre-season match against Arsenal at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Yoro struggled to bear weight on his injured foot as he exited the pitch and boarded the team bus before the match concluded. The sight of him with a protective boot on his left foot has raised concerns about a potential lengthy absence.

United sources indicate that the club is still evaluating the severity of Leny Yoro’s injury.

Manager Erik ten Hag has not yet addressed the media regarding Yoro’s condition and is not expected to do so until 4:30 PM local time on Thursday (12:30 AM BST Friday). Ten Hag is scheduled to hold a pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s game against Liverpool in South Carolina.

Manchester United will face La Liga club Real Betis in the second match of their three-game US tour. The game is scheduled for Wednesday at 7:00 PM local time in San Diego (3:00 AM BST Thursday).
