John Mahama, the 2024 flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has issued a stern warning to potential appointees in his next government, cautioning that they will face consequences for any misconduct.
Addressing the crowd at the party’s campaign launch in Tamale, Northern Region, Mahama emphasized the importance of integrity, honesty, diligence, and accountability for those seeking to serve in his administration.
He emphasized that his government would not only hold the previous administration accountable for any wrongdoing but also ensure that individuals within his administration accused of misconduct are punished accordingly.
“As we demand accountability from the previous government, anyone accused of wrongdoing in my administration will face punishment and be held accountable,” Mahama affirmed.
Campaign Coordinator Professor Joshua Alabi reiterated the NDC’s commitment to a peaceful transition of power if the New Patriotic Party (NPP) loses, assuring voters of their dedication to safeguarding electoral integrity.
Mahama reassured Ghanaians of his commitment to honesty during his campaign, pledging to refrain from making unrealistic promises as he seeks support ahead of the December 7 polls.
