This event will be overseen by Paramount Chief Odeefuo Afankwa III and Paramount Queen-Mother Nana Efua Esiwaa II, alongside the Donkese Festival Planning Committee.

The honor comes as a result of Afua Asantewaa’s notable achievements in entrepreneurship and her bold world record attempts. She expressed her excitement and gratitude for the recognition, reflecting on her journey: “When the time is right, everything is perfect. I remember calling myself EFIADAHEMAA publicly the past few years and months until last December when my name changed to Afua Asantewaa Singathon. Little did I know this prestigious moment would come.”

The celebration marks a significant milestone in Afua Asantewaa’s career, and she has extended an open invitation for the public to witness this new chapter.

During the Donkese ceremony, she was enstooled as the Nkosuohemaa (Queen Mother of Development) of Breman Essiam, receiving the title Nana Afua Asantewaa Anomatsewa I (Eloquent Bird) from Paramount Queen Mother Nana Afua Asiwa II. In her new role, she will focus on implementing development programs for the region.

Nana Afua Asiwa II praised Asantewaa’s accomplishments, stating, “You have really made us all proud; we, the people of Essiam and Ghana, are proud of you. You are the first to be conferred with this title. We know what you are capable of doing, hence this recognition.”

Nana Asantewaa Anomatsewa I responded, “I am indeed honored and grateful for this honor. I will do everything possible to ensure that we take the development of this area a notch higher.”
