The 3Music Awards will make a comeback in September 2024, following a one-year break, according to an announcement made during a press event in Accra on Thursday, July 25, 2024.
Rashidatu Yasmine Abdulai, CEO of 3Music Network, highlighted the effort involved in revamping the awards. “Today, I am thrilled to announce the return of the 3Music Awards in September. After a year-long hiatus, we have reimagined our approach to ensure 3Music Awards celebrates musical excellence and sets new industry standards,” Abdulai stated.
She emphasized the significance of the awards, describing them as more than just an event. “The 3Music Awards is more than an event; it is a celebration of creativity, talent, and vibrant culture. This year, we are introducing fresh elements to captivate the audience and honor the artists who inspire us. Our renewed commitment is to showcase the best in music and amplify the voices of our artistes, creating an inclusive and unforgettable experience,” Abdulai added.
In preparation for the ceremony, a nominees event will take place in August. The Board and the Academy are currently engaged in the nomination process for this year’s awards.
