The Democratic Party’s rules committee has approved a plan to officially nominate Kamala Harris as the party’s presidential candidate as early as August 1.
This will be ahead of the Democratic National Convention scheduled for August 19-22 in Chicago.
According to the plan, Harris is expected to select her running mate by August 7.
This move sets the stage for a formal nomination process, paving the way for Harris to become the party’s official presidential nominee
