Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), emphasized the importance of rejecting former President John Mahama in the upcoming elections, portraying him as a figure rooted in Ghana’s past rather than its future.
Speaking to NPP supporters in Nandom, Upper West Region, Dr. Bawumia asserted that John Mahama lacks new policies to enhance Ghanaian livelihoods, contrasting himself as a leader poised to steer the country toward progress. “Forget about him and choose the future,” Dr. Bawumia urged, amid enthusiastic support from the crowd.
Highlighting the achievements of the current NPP administration, including Free SHS, Free TVET, GhanaCard, and various infrastructure initiatives, Dr. Bawumia positioned these policies as evidence of the government’s commitment to propelling Ghana ahead.
“By introducing a credit system to facilitate incremental payments for goods, we are setting Ghana on a trajectory akin to developed nations like the UK,” Dr. Bawumia affirmed, reinforcing his vision for Ghana’s economic advancement.
