Nigerian entertainer Charly Boy, whose real name is Charles Oputa, has vowed to divorce his wife of 47 years if Kamala Harris fails to win the upcoming U.S. presidential election.

Charly Boy expressed his deep admiration for Harris, describing her as his “crush” and stating his belief that America deserves its first Black female president, following in the footsteps of Barack Obama, the country’s first Black male president.

“I wish she emerges victorious, just to disappoint those red neck Americans who don’t believe in black supremacy,” Charly Boy said in his post.

The entertainer’s statement comes amidst significant political developments in the United States, including President Joe Biden’s recent announcement that he will not seek reelection. Biden has endorsed Harris, who served as his Vice President, for the presidency.

Harris’s potential presidential run is seen by many as a continuation of the progress initiated by Obama and Biden. If successful, she would make history as the first Black female President of the United States, building on her trailblazing achievements as the first female, first Black, and first South Asian Vice President.
