- Film to cover new case, potentially based on Warrens' real-life investigations
Warner Bros has announced that the fourth installment in the Conjuring franchise will hit theaters on September 5, 2025. While details about the plot remain scarce, the studio has confirmed that Michael Chaves will direct and Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick will write the screenplay.
This final chapter in the Conjuring series will mark the last outing for Ed and Lorraine Warren, played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. The duo has expressed enthusiasm for reprising their roles, with Farmiga stating, “Oh my God, I’d love to [continue].” Wilson added, “We constantly want to push these characters. I would like to – for no other reason than I would want to keep playing opposite Vera.”
The Conjuring 4 is expected to follow a new case, potentially drawing from the Warrens’ real-life investigations, such as the Snedeker house, the Smurl Haunting, or the legend of the White Lady at Union Cemetery. Filming is anticipated to begin soon, although no official start date has been confirmed.
Fans can look forward to the return of Sterling Jerins as Judy Warren, Steve Coulter as Father Gordon, and Shannon Kook as Drew Thomas.
The Conjuring 4 promises to deliver more spine-tingling thrills and chills, building on the success of its predecessors. Mark your calendars for September 5, 2025, when the Warrens’ final case hits the big screen.
