Sammi Awuku, a key advisor to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team, has expressed confidence that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will emerge victorious in the December polls, leaving the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) stunned.
Awuku emphasized the party’s determination to secure victory, stating that they are fully committed to defeating the NDC. He congratulated and welcomed Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, commonly known as NAPO, as the NPP’s running mate for the 2024 general elections.
The NPP’s National Executive Council (NEC) unanimously endorsed NAPO upon Dr. Bawumia’s recommendation. Awuku expressed the campaign team’s readiness to integrate NAPO’s expertise and contributions into their strategy to ensure a resounding victory for the NPP.
“In the next few days, we will roll out an elaborate, intensive, and insightful campaign. He [NAPO] will also be able to contribute his quota for the victory of the NPP in December,” Awuku stated.
The campaign advisor revealed the NPP’s immediate plans for presenting NAPO to the Asanteman Council and Otumfuo Osei Tutu in Kumasi on Tuesday, July 8, 2024. This will be followed by an event at Jubilee Park in Kumasi to officially introduce him to the public.
Awuku stated that Dr. Bawumia will begin a constituency-by-constituency campaign in the northern regions, while NAPO will tour the country. “These are busy days ahead for the NPP, and the NPP is determined to win this December election. We will beat the NDC by strategy, and they won’t understand,” he said.
Awuku expressed confidence in the NPP’s strategy, stating that it will leave the NDC stunned. He emphasized that the party is committed to securing victory and will work tirelessly to achieve it.
The NPP’s campaign team is optimistic about the upcoming elections, with Awuku stating that they are ready to overcome any challenges that may arise. “We are prepared for any eventuality. We will work hard and ensure that the NPP emerges victorious in December,” he said.
Awuku’s statements have been seen as a boost to the NPP’s campaign, with many party supporters expressing confidence in the party’s ability to win the elections. The NDC has yet to respond to Awuku’s statements.
The upcoming elections are expected to be highly contested, with both parties vying for power. However, with the NPP’s strategy and determination, it seems that the party is ready to give the NDC a run for their money. Only time will tell who will emerge victorious in the December polls.
