Alabi: Bawumia’s Economic Record Fails to Match Mahama’s Achievements

Professor Joshua Alabi, the campaign manager for John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has asserted that the shortcomings of President Akufo-Addo’s administration diminish the electoral threat posed by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Alabi contends that Vice President Bawumia’s economic policies have not delivered tangible results that would earn the confidence of voters.

In an interview following his reappointment as the NDC’s campaign manager for the 2024 elections, Alabi emphasized that Bawumia and the NPP cannot rival John Dramani Mahama.

Alabi criticized Bawumia’s unfulfilled promises such as “one village, one dam,” “one constituency, one million dollars,” and initiatives like “one child, one chocolate” and “one child, one laptop.”

He highlighted Mahama’s track record of significant infrastructural development during his tenure, expressing strong optimism about Mahama’s prospects in reclaiming the presidency.
